The Green Transition Business Competition 2026 has been opened
The Green Transition Business Competition highlights Finnish expertise and entrepreneurship in sustainable development. Competition can give visibility to companies’ environmentally friendlier solutions and may even open up funding opportunities. In addition, competition provides companies an excellent opportunity to network with other leaders in the field.
All innovative and growing Finnish companies under the age of 15 with an environmentally friendlier product or service solution can take part in the competition. The winner is selected based on the innovativeness, growth potential and environmental friendliness of the company’s solution or service.
The competition has been opened on Monday, January 12, 2026 and the applications for the competition must be submitted by Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Companies from various industries can participate in the competition
The Green Transition Business Competition does not have any industry restrictions, which means that companies participating in the competition represent a wide range of industries. In previous years, there has been companies, among others, from the fields of mining and construction, climate and food technology, textile industry and natural dye production, various energy solutions, as well as carbon sequestration and biochar industry.
The winner of 2025 was Elmery Oy from Espoo, and the audience voted Nordtreat Oy from Vantaa as their favorite. Read more about the Gala 2025 and the winners here.

Biocluster Finland promotes public interest and supports green and digital transition, business and innovation development, resilience and security in Finland.
