February Cluster Newsletter
The beginning of the year has been great, and at the Biocluster Finland we’re also increasingly focusing on the Green Transition Business Competition in the spring and other upcoming events and projects.

The Green Transition Business Competition 2025 – The application period is open
The application for the competition must be submitted by Monday, 31 March 2025, at 12:00 PM at www.biocluster.fi/en/gala/. Judging will take place during the spring, and the awards ceremony, Gala 2025, will be held in Oulu in the spring.
The aim of the business competition is to highlight innovative growth companies in Finland that promote sustainable development. The competition can bring media visibility and even funding opportunities to companies’ more environmentally friendly solutions. It is also an excellent opportunity for companies to network with other industry leaders.
Biocluster Finland is involved in developing European cluster cooperation
We are involved in developing European cluster cooperation that is aiming to promote sustainable food production and food innovations. The EU funding application involves five cluster organizations from four different countries (France, Germany, Hungary and Finland).
We are currently awaiting the decision for the funding, which will be made during the spring or summer. If the decision for the funding is positive, the 3-year project will start in the fall of 2025.
The State of AI in Finland 2025 review
AI Finland and Business Finland have published The Finnish AI Landscape 2025 joint publication. The publication provides information, for example, on the current situation in utilizing and developing AI in Finland. It also highlights ways in which companies can utilize AI in their own operations.
