Biocluster Finland changes from EU co-funded project to continuous operation

Biocluster Finland promotes public interest and supports green and digital transition, business and innovation development, resilience and security in Finland. The cluster’s EU co-funded project will end on September 30, after which we will move to continuous operations. We would like to thank the EU, the Council of Oulu Region, the City of Haapavesi, VYP Yritysjätepalvelut and NordFuel Oy for making the project possible.

Although the project is ending, the cluster is already looking to the future, and for example, preparations for the 2026 business competition have already started. Based on the positive feedback received from previous years’ award nominees and development proposals, we have also started planning events and activities for the competition’s alumni, who are the pioneering companies of green growth in Finland.

We are also open to new ideas and partnerships. If you would like to discuss cooperation opportunities with us or send feedback to the cluster, you can reach us by email at team@biocluster.fi.

European Research and Innovation Days 2025

The European Research and Innovation Days is an annual event of the European Commission, where decision-makers, researchers and other stakeholders discuss the future of research and innovation. This year’s event focused on, among other things, the importance of research and innovation for European competitiveness. In addition, the discussions highlighted, for example, the strategic work of startups and scale-ups and AI research.

The European cluster networks, to which Biocluster Finland belongs as a national cluster, also aim to highlight the themes of green growth, security and European competitiveness in particular.
